Student of the Year Hindi Movie Release Date is “19th October 2012”

Upcoming movie Student of the Year (SOTY), directed by Karan Johar, is an Indian comedy movie with all new young and fresh faces in lead roles. Karan Johar and Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is the producer of the film and made it under their banners, Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.

The special thing we want to mention here is that it’s the first film of Karan Johar which he directed without Shahrukh Khan in a lead role. Along with Alia Bhatt, two more young newcomers are going to debut in hindi film industry by Student Of The Year.

One is Varun Dhawan, son of well known film director David Dhawan who has made so many successful comedy films, such as Aankhen, Raja Babu, Biwi Number 1, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Bade Miyan Chhote Miya etc. Varun’s brother Rohit Dhawan is also a director who made his directorial debut by Desi Boyz. Siddharth Malhotra is the other guy playing lead role along with Alia Bhatt and Varun.

The film will be the debut of three new faces in Bollywood. They are: Alia Bhatt, who is he daughter of the well-known filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra who is a newcomer and Varun Dhawan, who is the son of the reputed David Dhawan.  Both the boys in the cast of the film already have experience in working with Karan as they were both assistant directors in his film ‘My Name is Khan’, starring Shahrukh Khan.
