During his Urological practice, he felt establishing a state of the art kidney institute was very much required for community of the Saurashtra. Therefore he took up a mega project of 2 million dollars as Managing Trustee. He left private practice and devoted full time services for this project. It is a mega project for kidney ailments, in 3 acre land, 125000 sq ft building, having 5 dedicated operation theatres, 24 dialysis machines and highly equipped laboratory. Thousands of patients (22000 dialysis and 3000 operations) are treated every year at discounted rates. Generous donation of Mr. B.T. Savani family, untiring efforts of team of trustees, dedicated doctors and committed hospital staff made the project Successful. www.btsk.org
Community Educational Programs and Publications for awareness and prevention of kidney diseases :
To educate people for kidney diseases, he conducts Kidney Awareness Programmes by lectures and Video Book in Universities, Schools, Hostels, Lions Club and Rotary Club since last 25 years. After lecture quiz is organized and winners are given prizes.
He has published 4 editions of Gujarati Kidney Books, video cassette and DVD in the year 1986, 1996, 2003 and 2011.
