Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has announced the formation of a Memorial Trust - HRB Memorial Trust Built by Amitabh Bachchan - in memory of his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan posted on Tue 3 September 2013 at 12:00 AM.
For long we have wanted to open Amitabh Bachchan New Memorial Trust in memory of his late father Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan and after years of waiting and proper paper work to be established, we have it functional now.
"I am happy to announce the formation of a Trust in the memory of my Father - HRB Memorial Trust - which shall work to collect funds for charity. My own efforts at creating events or acts to contribute to it shall be prime, and the list of the charitable work done shall be soon visible to all" Big B posted this message on his blog.
“Our works through the years have been functional for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped, or to be politically correct, the differently-a bled, blood banks, cancer, Thalasemia, feeding the poor, feeding children in schools, sponsoring a child’s education, taking care of farmers’ loans in Andhra and Vidarbha to prevent them from suicide because they were unable to pay their loans … and on. Come let us work independently to better the lives of others,” he added.
Amitabh Bachchan has also been known to be a good husband, father and even grandfather and has the image of a happy family man. Big B has always been a very caring son to his late parents – dad Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan. Accordingly, he decided to open up a memorial trust in memory of his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan who died in 2003, is credited with works like 'Madhushala' and 'Agneepath'. |
