Hair Transplant Surgery Post Operative Care :

Follow the antibiotics medication dosage completely

Do not take any medication that contains ASPIRIN for one week following your procedure. No alcohol and smoking consumption for one week

Slight bleeding may occur from the donor area so place a towel on your pillow and put clean cloth on the bleeding area

Sleep with your head elevated for 3 nights after hair transplant surgery and for that you can use 3 pillows supporting your back and neck

Apply crushed ice packs wrapped in a clean cloth on your forehead frequently

Perform forehead massage with firm pressure

Keeping the scalp clean by shampooing daily post the surgery

Do not scratch the surgical area if itching happens

Refrain from heavy manual tasks for 5 to 7 days

After first week, shampoo your hair very gently

Drink plenty of water and eat as normal

After 4 weeks of surgery you can dye your hair

The newly transplanted hair begins to grow at around 10 weeks.

Do not stand under a power shower and do not wear a hat during this time. Do not use any product in your hair. Allow your hair to dry naturally, do not towel dry or blow dry your hair

When picking up items from the floor, bend at the knees while keeping your back straight to avoid your head going below the level of your heart

Shock loss is a possible side effect after hair transplant surgery which means temporary hair loss in the area near recipient incisions.
