Dholera Special Investment Region Gujarat Latest News
Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi is known to be a person who works tirelessly for the welfare of the state and bringing prosperity to the state. On his 4-day visit to Japan has mentioned his desire to build Dholera SIR or special investment region on the line of the development of Kobe, a city in Japan.

Mr. Narendra Modi brought various similarities between the two cities as both of them appear prominently as earthquake prone areas. Both the cities have been ports in the previous years. The chief minister reiterated that one should learn a lot from the port of Kobe, which was immaculately re-built after it was destroyed in 1995 earthquake. He seemed to be impressed with the fact and working of Kobe port after he took a two hours visiting session. The governor of Kobe Province, Mr. ToshizoIdo has assured the chief minister that Japan will provide complete co-operation to fulfill Mr. Modi’s dream to build a disaster management museum in Dholera SIR Area as well as build it on the lines of Kobe city.

This is not the first time that the two provinces are entering into collaboration. Earlier in the year 1991, Kobe province had helped Gujarat government to build a school as well as boarding in the quake-affected area of Kutch. The Chief Minister hope that with Japan’s advanced technologies and Gujarat’s entrepreneurial skills, the state as well as Dholera SIR could become a model town in the country.
