Rani Ki Vav Step Well in Gujarat is the oldest and the grandest stepwell in the Patan. The Vav determines about 64 meters long, 20 meters broad and 27 meters cavernous are laid out in the east-west way with well proper in the west. The Patan city is very attractive and nice. What is the History of Rani Ki Vav Patan?
The structure was finished by the widowed queen Udayamati. She was the wife of King Bhimdev and the founder of the Solanki family of Anahilwada Pattan. It is a richly sculptured headstone and a main tourist mark in Patan. One of its pillars is so wonderfully imprinted, that it be reminiscent one of the very old charm of the monument. It become visible the well is made up of bricks.
There are 7 storeys in the Rani Ki Vav stepwell and the ladders are intricately carved. Rani Ki Vav Architecture is very beautiful. There are statue of the avatars of the Hindu Gods, Jain Gurus, Goddesses, Apsaras, etc. Most of the statue is in dedication to Lord Vishnu. Patan is mostly known for Rani Ki Vav and usually many people visit to this Stepwell. All of Transportation facilities are available to visit this Stepwell.
