World Engineers Day date in India - When is World Engineers Day celebrated Every Year

On 15 September Engineers Day is celebrated in India. On this day the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarya is also celebrated. Indian government has given a Bharat Ratna Award in 1955 to Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya and from that day British government gave the title of the ‘Sir’ and also known by the M.V the Country’s leading Engineer.

Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarya was born on 15 Sep. 1861. He was a Magician in the field of Engineer and helped the country to develop. He graduated from the Poona College of Engineering in 1884 and also stood first in University Examinations. Government had given him job without taking an interview. The post of the Assistant Engineer in Public Works Department was given to the Sir M.V.

Engineer’s day is remarkable day and celebrated everywhere in India. All engineers can get inspiration from the Sir M.V. He had made a contribution in the Flood Protection System. He has given his 30 years for works and Construction of nation building as engineer and 20 years as administrator & adviser. In the period of 10 years he worked in the different places like Bombay, Hyderabad, Mysore and Bihar & Orissa.
