On 28th September, 2014 PM Narendra Modi gave his speech at Madison Square Garden where he had given warm welcome by more than 20,000 America-Indians. PM Modi announced a special gift for Non Residential Indians-NRIs that is about permanent visa for them. The USA living Indians can get long time visa for India as declared by world’s biggest democracy India’s PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi announced the easing of travel and visa norms, including lifetime visas for Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs). Besides announcing the merger of PIO and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) schemes, Modi also said that a visa-on-arrival scheme for American tourists was in the pipeline. He said PIOs staying in India on long-term basis would no longer have to report to the local police station.

PM Modi was welcomed with traditional Indian dance performance, especially Navratri Garba dance performance so that we can say that there would be large number of Gujarati and Indian based people. So this speech of our PM became much beneficial for Indian based Americans. PM Modi also covered other topics like cleaning of river Ganga, his dream India plan and his government’s schemes.
