Holy Matrimony of the waters:
Vehrakhadi plays host to the coming together of great Mahi Sagar River on the North, Narmada on the South and Arabian sea bringing in its salty waters from the Western front. Legend holds it that this is where, the river and the sea are said to be bound in a matrimonial union and since long, the place is marked as their union point. There is a boat shaped marriage pavilion created by the locals of the area for the ceremonial marriage between the river and sea while the actual commingle is said to be at the Gulf of Cambay.
The locals are said to offer silver foiled limbs to Mother River, so that she blesses them and all their ills are cured. The temples in the vicinity see offerings of chundadi - the marriage red head-dress of river Mahi as is believed to be worn by any virgin girl for getting married.
