Luxurious Train Coaches Launches in India - New Shatabdi Express Anubhuti Coach Gujarat
The Indian Railways along with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation provides a wide range of luxury rail travel in India. One of them is Shatabdi Express Anubhuti Coach.
Fastest Train in India, Shatabdi Express Train is operated by Indian Railways to connect Metro cities with other cities important for tourism, pilgrimage or business. Not only for its speed, is Sahtabdi Express also known for its luxurious Coaches. The first Shatabdi train was started in 1988 to commemorate the centenary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru's Birthday (the First Prime Minister of India) by Madhav Rao Scindia, minister for railways. The Shatabdi Train has highest speed of 145 km/h (90 mph) till now.
The Ahmedabad Shatabdi generally has one AC Executive Class coach, 13 AC Chair Car coaches, and two luggages cum generator coaches. The train runs with the Linke-Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, which is developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany. Railways has proposed to introduce a modern coach 'Anubhuti' with good ambience in Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains phase-wise, providing higher travel comfort to passengers. Travelling in the special AC luxury class will be one and half times costlier than the First AC Executive Class in Shatabdi trains.
The word "Shatabdi" means centenary in Sanskrit. In the Anubhuti Coach, AC 1 has 56 seats in Shatabdi, Anubhuti will be equipped with 50 ergonomically designed cushioned seats and with provisions of LCD video screens. The interiors of the coach will sport a contemporary look with automatic opening and closing of internal doors. Besides, it will have modular toilets with vacuum discharge system and superior roller blinds as curtains. |
