Heavy Rainfall in Amreli Bagasara Gujarat - June 2015 Flood Images Latest Photos
The heavy rain and blustery wind lash parts of Gujarat on 25th june 2015, Thursday. The most affected district named Amreli, which located in Saurashtra region in Gujarat facing a flood like situation.
According to weather department, depression is observed in the early phases and at the end of cyclonic storm. This depression has developed over the Arabian Sea, which brings heavy rain in Gujarat. The worst affected area of the Gujarat state, Amreli, 25.44 inches rainfall was recorded at Bagasara in amreli.

In Gujarat Saurashtra’s region, five Asiatic lions were found dead in Amreli and Bhavnagar district due to heavy rain that forest officials said.
An Indian Air Force, NDRF and SRP team has been pushed into overhaul at Rajkot and Amreli districts to save people, who are most affected from this heavy rainfall. These heavy rains have left around 70 people dead in Gujarat’s Saurashtra region and some parts of south Gujarat, which is provided by the Gujarat state emergency control room to the health minister of Gujarat.
Particularly in Amreli, about 245 km north-east of Ahmedabad, there are 400 to 619 villages have affected including Bagasara, Babpur, Mota Bhandariya, Palitana etc… Atleast 50 people died, while two people died of electrocution and thousands remain marooned after heavy rainfall in Amreli. We also catch the news that 13 people were died due to house collapsed at Juna Vaghaniya village in Bhagasaara.
Government sends MI-17 V5 helicopters of Indian Air force for the relief operation in Amreli district. Team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has vacated over 5,000 people from low lying areas to the safer places, where around 1,500 people are from Amreli district. India Air force team were also dropped a food packets from helicopter towards people affected by flood-like situation.
