There are 8 teams in the IPL tournament where cricketers from different countries are playing as a team under one franchisee.

IPL tournament first season 2008 was won by Rajasthan Royals team. Here we have list of winner teams in the IPL season 1 to 7. The winning team of IPL season is given Rs 200 million or Rs 20 Crore. Money Prizes are also given to the runner up and other 2 semi-finalist teams.

This year, ICC World Cup 2015 is completed just before 10 to 15 days and almost all star performers of ICC World Cup 2015 are playing in IPL 8 2015 under one of the IPL teams so there will be a  great battle in IPL season 8.
