Railway Customer Complaint Web Portal and Mobile Application Launched in March 2015
The Indian railway recently launched web portal and mobile application for customer complaint registration. Railway complaint web portal and app is launched with a view to providing customers with "an effective forum to lodge complaints".
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu launched customer complaint web portal and mobile application on 2nd March 2015. He said that besides registering complaints, people can also use these forums to send suggestions for improving railway services.

Customer complaint hosts both mobile app and web based complaints and suggestions.People can also register complaints through SMS on number +91-9717630982. A link to the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) will also be provided.
The mobile application can be downloaded from Google Play Store, has been implemented using Android 2.3.3 and above platform and would be made available for Windows Phone 8.1 and above.
A fast and user friendly structured interface has been provided to register complaints on mobile phones by the Indian Railway. A unique ID number will be provided to the complainants who can use it to track the progress of their complaints. The complaint will be auto assigned to the concerned railway functionary for redressal.
The customer complaint portal will also be available in Hindi and other regional languages. During the proposal of Railway budget 2015, the customer complaint registration web portal and application launch was announced. |
