Cancer is the one of the scariest diseases and a major cause of death all over the world. With a millions of new cases being reported every year, cancer seems to be tightening its grip on India. World Cancer Day in India is celebrated on 4th February of every year.

World Cancer day in year 2018 will reside on Sunday, 4th February 2018.

By 2030, India will have 1.6 million cancer patients. Health Experts says that the country is ill-prepared to deal with the cancer burden due rapidly ageing population and the incidence of the killer disease is expected to rise five-fold by 2025.

4th of February was established specially for raising the cancer awareness among people, teaching them about healthy diet, regular and proper physical activity and a lesson on how to get prevented from the environmental carcinogens.

After World cup 2011, Indian star all rounder player Yuvrajsingh has been detected cancer but he did not loss his courage and he recovered from it. Now he is running one special campaign for cancer with name ‘YouWe Can’ and he helps to the needy patience of cancer.

To spread the special messages about the cancer awareness and its prevention, the leading health organizations as well as nongovernmental organizations takes part by organizing the camps, awareness programs, rallies, lectures, seminars and etc. Variety of control measures policies gets implemented and people are promoted to join in masses.

World cancer day in India is celebrated to make the normal people aware about the risk factors and preventive measures of the cancer to get prevented or its early detection.  Generally normal people ignore the suffering person with hated eye and even they avoid touching to them. The day is celebrated as well to remove such type of the social myths related to the cancer. It is celebrated to make the normal people aware about all the reality of the cancer like its symptoms, causing factors, treatment, and etc.
